Ingredients
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup of rolled oats (gluten free)
- 1 large banana
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil (cold pressed)
Directions
Bring water to a rapid boil in a pot on the stove, add and submerge the oats, and reduce the temperature to around 2 or low heat. Let the oats sit for a couple minutes or until water can no longer be seen on the surface. Stir the oats to be sure no water is left. Remove the oats from the stove and add 3/4 of a banana (diced) to the oats. Submerge the banana to bring the temperature of the banana up and the oats down. Begin squashing the banana in the oats and stirring. Repeat this several times until oats become glossy. Now add the coconut oil, stir well, and add oats to bowl. Dice the remaining 1/4 of the banana and place on top of oats. Garnish with cinnamon.
